" 6 week old Quarter Horse Foal: Monday morning I enter the stall, foal was lying down looking depressed and the mare has a swollen udder - obviously foal is not eating. Foal's temp was 102.5. Whenever a foal gets sick it makes you feel so helpless, as they can dehydrate quickly and really go downhill fast. I immediately made a paste with 1/4 scoop of Performance and Show, sulfa tabs and electrolytes. I gave the paste to the foal morning and night and milked out the mare to keep her comfortable. On day 2, foal had severe diarrhea, was still not eating and was still depressed. I continued giving the Performance and Show and antibiotics. Day four, I had to chase the little guy down to paste him, his temperature was 99, he was nursing again, had no diarrhea. Day 5, you would have never know the foal had been sick. He was running and playing and remarkably, had lost no weight. I continued to paste him for seven days. I have never had a foal recover this quickly from fever and diarrhea..and no vet bills!

This is in regard to a 4-H project of my daughter whose swine project, a Yorkshire pig (White colored), became severely jaundiced suddenly one day. I can't remember the long name the vet gave the condition but the pig was only given a 10% chance of living. I immediately started drenching (feeding) Transfer Factor and incorporated Transfer Factor Plus after the third drench. I did this continually all night long and within 48 hours the pig went from almost taking its last breath to walking and the jaundice was gone. My daughter showed the pig at the county fair. A. G. I feed my two 26-year-old mares with Equine TF Performance & Show to boost their immune system, which no doubt declines with age. These mares look like 4 year olds, are fit, and well. One of them had had laminitis when 9 years old and 2 vets had recommended shooting her! Well with the 3rd vet and friend and the TRANSFER FACTOR now on my shelves this mare is rising 26 years this year! Ingrid Khan Link to Ingrid's Khan's article published in Equiworld.net
