Auto Immune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA) .
August 2003

. . . . . . . . .
Greetings,

So what is AIHA? It is an autoimmune disease that strikes Humans, Canines, Felines, and Equines alike. The number of cases increases yearly and it is often misdiagnosed. Knowing what to look for can clearly be an advantage!

This very disease took my grandmother nine years ago. Unfortunately Transfer Factor (TF) was 4 years to late to save her life. But everytime we can help another overcome this horrendous disease I feel as if I am settling an old score. Knowing what we do now we hope to help others make a more informed decision regarding this disease. We may have found a way to stack the cards in our favor.

The great response we had from Savvy's story when we orginally ran it last year shows there are many cases going undetected. Diagnosis is difficult and costly.

The only help the medical community can offer is steroids. We all know long term steroid use will destroy your animal. AIHA should have killed Savvy two years ago. However, Nan did not take the easy way out she stuck by her friend and it paid off.

Some veterinarian's may say Nan had no basis for the claims, she made. They may say she had no scientific data and had not ran a control group! Unfortunately you can not find enough surviving horses with AIHA to ran a control group.

Besides how would she analyze scientific data when she is not a practicing veterinarian? Nan says "The proof lies in the fact Savvy's alive and has NO symptoms a year and a half later. She remains drug and steroid free.

Our second report is on a miniature schnauzer with (AIHA). The owners called after reading about Savvy on our website. They didn't think he was going to make it. His vet said he would be on steroids for at least 3 years if he survived at all.

Mac Barksdale DVM helped Kodi's owner wean him slowly taken off his steroids. They were replaced with 1 human Transfer Factor Plus capsule daily.

If the animal is off food the capsule can be opened and mixed with water and drizzled down the throat with an eyedropper or syringe with needle removed. You can open the capsule and mixed the contents into their food or hide the capsule in a treat.

The report 6 weeks out is that he is still doing great. NO STEROIDS and the owners tell me you would never know he had even been sick at all.TF not only will work on the AIHA but since we are addressing the immune system many other problems will be alleviated also.

How and Why Does This Patened Transfer Factor Work on AIHA?
    .
It is due to the SUPPRESSOR FRACTIONS in Transfer factors. once the immune system has done battle and won there is a need for the system to down regulate and go into a resting state waiting for the next challenge.

The SUPPRESSOR transfer factors are responsible for reduction in activity. When microbes hide in specific tissues and the immune response mistakenly becomes directed to that part of the body this leads to autoimmune diseases.

The Suppressor fractions appear to be nature's way of limiting over zealous immune response and to provide the body with a tool for protecting "self" from an inappropriate immune response.

It is difficult to embrace a new idea while clinging to an old one. Yet, this intent to optimize health as the primary focus of medicine is a laudable goal and nothing short of revolutionary. Such a revolution is occurring as the biology and benefits of transfer factors are coming to the forefront as both preventive and interventional tools in health.

Savvy's Symptoms, Drugs and Procedures and Protocol
    .
Symptoms: Jaundice + Decreased appetite and water intake + Red/black discolored urine + Depressed + Possible Colic + Fever. Upon examination, her vital signs were within normal limits, but mucous membranes and sclera were quite icteric (jaundice).

Lab tests and results: Her PCV (packed cell volume/Hematocrit) was markedly decreased (21%). A CBC revealed a normal white cell count with an increase in bands and a fibrinogen of 400. A serum profile revealed severe hemolysis in the serum. The hemolysis appeared to be intravascular.

Drugs: Banamine + Vitamin C + IV Fluids + diazepam + daily Dexamethasone injections + Prednisolone + Procedures: IV + packed cell volume/hematocrit + CBC + serum profile + Blood transfusions + Coombs test + Leptospira test + 8L of blood transfused + Azathioprine (Immuron) + rescected the abscess on Hoof + Depo- Medrol + NSAID

Savvy was drenched with TF Animal Stress Packs for two weeks (1 pack morning and evening). Then as needed if, she was showing signs of distress. Also concurrently, she received TF Performance and Show (2 scoops daily) and to this day she continues with this the TF Performance and Show. I am told in some blood disorders, antibodies may be produced against the body's own red and white blood cells. The body gets mixed signals and it begins attacking itself. The Suppressor Fractions within the three products mentioned in this E-Zine will do what no drug in the world can do! It can regulate the immune system and prevent the body from attacking it's self. At the same time OTHER fractions build an immune reserve and re-educate or "train" the immune system to prepare it for attacks by micro organisms.

Nan and Savvy Riding Together Again! Shamrock Hounds closing meet 3/15/2003.
She's all Heart! Look at those ears! She is enjoying her ride! And to think this beautiful horse was almost put down. Everyone but Nan and Mac Barksdale DVM had given up on her! It took less than 3 months to see a difference!

Only because of Nan Buckner's devotion and love for her horse Savvy, were we given the opportunity to discover what 4Life Research's Transfer Factor could do for autoimmune diseases. Nan not only saved Savvy's life, they are fox hunting and jumping together again.

I expect it cost in the thousands of dollars for Nan to have Savvy treated at the university for that year she was under their care. Might I add also without any significant improvement.

With 4-life's TF Animal Stress Pack and TF Performance and Show it took just three months to see a significant improvement and the cost was substantially less.
